Nick Carter

Nick Carter, best known as an incredibly talented member of the Backstreet Boys, has endured a very public struggle with addiction, family turmoil and health issues since the tender age of 12 years old. Together with the rest of the wildly successful boy band, he recorded multiple albums beginning in the1990s and continues to record and perform with them in 2013. Riding the wave of BSB's worldwide fame, Nick also released two solo albums and starred in a hit reality TV show, “House of Carters,” with his four siblings before the tragic death of his sister, Leslie. Carter has not made a secret of his ongoing fight with drug and alcohol abuse over the years he's spent in the public eye, but this book is his first complete account of his tumultuous life and pop-star lifestyle. Determined to use his own story to help change the lives of others battling their own demons, Nick writes this book with an open heart and a deep desire for truth and honesty.

When I decided to listen to this audiobook I thought it will be a simple story about Nick's life, but it turned out to be much more than that. While Nick talks about his past struggles, he sneaks in some very important life advices. Going deeper into the book it's becoming very motivational and inspirational.
Even tho I didn't have troubles with addictions, or unhealthy lifestyle, the advices that he gives are very universal. Sometimes his words hitted me harder than I expected.
Book is written in a simple words. It's written so everyone can understand and I truly believe that he written it with good intentions.
I wasn't a big fan of Nick Carter before but that book made me respect him more than I did before.
I recommend everyone to listen to it or read it in a free time.
