About this audiobook
Debut author Jilly Gagnon bursts onto the scene with a story equal parts bite and romance, perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Jennifer E. Smith, about falling for someone in front of everyone.
In this modern day love story: Girl likes boy. Girl snaps photo and posts it online. Boy becomes insta-famous. And what starts out as an innocent photo turns into a whirlwind adventure that forces them both to question whether fame—and love—are worth the price…and changes both of their lives forever.
Told from alternating points of view, #famous captures the sometimes-crazy thrill ride of social media and the equally messy but wonderful moments of liking someone in real life.
Jilly Gagnon
Jilly Gagnon is currently based in Chicago, but is originally from Minnesota, a fact she’ll likely inform you of within minutes of meeting you. When she’s not writing, she’s probably either deep in a video-game rabbit hole, talking to her cats like they understand her, or practicing her violin, which for some inexplicable reason (masochism) she took up recently. Jilly’s short humor, personal essays, and op-eds have appeared in all kinds of places that it’s too tedious to list. She also writes the adult comedy book series Choose Your Own Misery, coauthored with Mike MacDonald. Visit Jilly at www.jillygagnon.com.

This fun, modern love story (inspired by the real life story of #AlexfromTarget) starts when high school senior Rachel ,Tweets a photo of a cute boy she sees working at the mall food court #idlikefrieswithTHAT and it goes viral, putting both her and cute boy into the spotlight. Cue the drama and romance.
Content Notes:
- Language (religious exclamations, mild swears)
- Sexual Content: Kissing
Perfect for fans of movies like:
- She's All That
- Princess Diaries - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed this book! As a teenage girl I like how it portrayed the youth these days especially Rachel getting bullied online it is accurate on showing how mean people can be and how they changed after she was getting positive attention I only disliked the ending since it was a bit stressful though it could have just been Emma lol she made me very mad. Anyway overall great book I would definitely recommend.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lovely sweet fluffy teen drama. Nothing too heart wrenching just a quick little feel good story.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. I have no problem with the romcom style of “ugly” girl turns pretty, even though girl was never ugly premise. I will watch those movies and read those books. I wish there were more books with the negatives of going viral on social media that causes drama but ends well.
