About this audiobook

A book of short stories by Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women and Eight Cousins. It includes Two Little Travellers, a story about two very different little girls, Lunch, a story of two women who resolve to stop the schoolboys from eating unhealthy lunches, How They Camped Out, a story of a sleighing party gone wrong, and 10 more bits and pieces from Aunt Jo's Scrap-Bag. The series is not about any characters from the Little Women books - doubtless the publisher relied on the popularity of that series to sell this one.

Author

Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott was born in Pennsylvania in 1832, the second of four daughters of the philosopher Bronson Alcott. She was educated at home and went on to become a schoolteacher in Boston. Her first book Flower Fables was published when she was twenty-two, but she interrupted her career as a writer to nurse soldiers at a Washington hospital during the civil war. Her most enduring book, Little Women, was published in 1868 and was an instant success. Other books include Little Men and Jo's Boys. Louisa May Alcott died in 1888 at the age of 56.
