      Wow! This is a book that I had to read from start to finish, no stopping for breaks. Wow! It was fantastic.Profiler Dr. Sarah Jacobs is a fascinating character, she's very strong, she's had to be after finding out the father she'd loved for years happened to be a serial killer who'd murdered people in the very house that they were living in. Now a killer is taunting Sarah, can Jax stop her from being his next target. Jax has worked with the Sarah and the Lost organization before, they have a connection and it's not long before Sarah and Jax develop feelings that they both can't deny. They work together and Jax hires the team to help search out his past.The story is an exciting, heart racing, adrenaline rush of a story. It made me gasp cringe, and cry out, also the sexual tension is great in the story, and the love scenes made made me sigh, grin.A great, intense, suspense, romance. I highly recommend this book.

      Shattered is a cut above the first two books in the LOST series. Sarah Jacobs is a member of the LOST team. Her speciality is criminal profiling. In a previous case for LOST, Sarah met Jax Fontaine, a dangerous man who seems to run the darker side of New Orleans, but against her better judgement, Sarah is attracted to him. When a serial killer targets Sarah, she finds herself having to confront her past which includes her father, a convicted serial killer, and even though it may not be a coincidence that Jax crossed Sarah's path, she can't seem to fight their explosive chemistry.
      There are several twists and turns in this book that raise the level of excitement and interest, making it more than an average romantic suspense with a serial killer theme. A good read.

      *I received this book for the purpose of an honest review.*I have to start off by saying this book "shattered" me! This is book 3 in the LOST series from author Cynthia Eden, I do suggest you read the previous two titles BROKEN and TWISTED, mostly because I think it'll help you understand the characters a bit more and because there is a connected storyline. Now with that said let me talk about Shattered, this book left me with emotions all over the place. I love how Cynthia Eden can pull you into the story and make you care about her characters. The characters become real people, you walk with them. Fans of the show Criminal Minds will adore this series and Cynthia Eden's writing. You will find yourself laughing, smiling, a bit teary, worried, scared.........and finally just thrilled to have "meet" Jax and Sarah and the rest of the LOST team. There are a few surprises that will leave you questioning what you thought you knew. Be warned this book and series is not for the faint at heart, or those who want a light hearted read. These books are deep, and strong. You'll become part of the story, or at least I did. This story follows as Jax and Sarah come to terms with their past, deal with a missing person, a killer and admitting they are falling for each other. I'm a bit sad to see the story end,but I am eager for the next book and bummed I have wait for it's release. Fans of Cynthia Eden and the LOST series will want to get this one ASAP. Those who are new to Cynthia Eden be prepared for a thrilling ride into the fascinating battle Sarah and Jax face while coming to terms with who they are. You'll be glad you picked up SHATTERED, even if leaves you a bit shattered at the end. This is one of those books that will NOT leave you once the last page is turned, you'll be thinking about it days, weeks, months later. I highly recommend SHATTERED to all fans of romantic suspense, Cynthia Eden, and Criminal Minds!

      This is so far my favorite book in the series. I wasn’t sure who was guilty of the crimes right up until the end.

      It has been a pleasure reading and enjoying this third book and like the other, the writer took its read on a different set of journey this time. Without letting on the real truth and actions! Have one side that opening more questions than answers but at the end only to bring in all the key players and leaving the reading with more questions. Great book and adventures.
