About this audiobook
I've been in love with Trip Wiley since I was sixteen years old. Yep. That Trip Wiley: Academy Award-winning actor, known philanthropist, People's Sexiest Man Alive two years running. Yeah. It's not like I'm some delusional stalker fan. It just so happens that he was my high school sweetheart back in 1991.
In the years since, Trip has simply been The One That Got Away. We just can't seem to get on the same page at the same time. Our timing may have sucked, but the feelings had already been confirmed. Years ago. At least his were. He doesn't know that I had chosen to love him back. I need to fix that. And I need to do it now.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Rarely do I want to give a book 10 stars. This one I do.
Rarely do I place a book in my "all time faves" category on my kindle. This one I did.
Rarely do I purchase the rest of a series as soon as I've finished reading the first one. This one I did.
Holy wow, I'm speechless. What an amazing book. What a crazy ride into the past, falling in love for the first time. The emotional roller coaster, the flash of emotions, the confusion, the heart pounding tension.
This author did an absolutely amazing writing job. It's truly a fantastic book that left me speechless, deeply touched and wanting more through it's sensitivity and emotion. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the story of Layla and Trip. I was a little, okay a lot, irritated that it took so long for something to happen. All that time gone. They were both obviously oblivious to how each other felt. There were so many times I was thinking "Oh this is IT!" then BAM! haha not. But my gosh I think that made it better.
I was excited to see that book 2 is out but then I caught the big cliffhanger warning.. so now I am debating if I should just wait until book 3 is released first. But I really want to finish their story too.
Great read. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book pulled me in right from the start. This 1st book of the trilogy is the story of Layla's senior year in high school, and the friendship/romance that she experiences with Trip Wiley. I loved all of the 80's & early 90's references. The book had an authentic feel to it, really capturing the mindset of a typical 17yo girl. Apparently, as the series progresses, he goes on to become a world-famous actor. And, of course, their paths end up crossing again. :)
