About this audiobook
When a gorgeous young dancer walks through his door, a strip club owner must decide whether to follow his rules or his heart in the third novel by the author of One Tiny Lie and Ten Tiny Breaths.
Owning a strip club isn’t the fantasy most guys expect it to be. With long hours, a staff with enough issues to keep a psych ward in business, and the police regularly on his case, twenty-nine-year-old Cain is starting to second-guess his unspoken mission to save the women he employs. And then blond, brown-eyed Charlie Rourke walks through his door, and things get really complicated. Cain abides by a strict “no sleeping with his staff” rule. But being around Charlie challenges Cain’s self-control...and it’s been a long time since any woman has done that.
Twenty-two-year-old Charlie Rourke needs a lot of money, really fast, in order to vanish before it’s too late. Taking her clothes off for men makes her stomach curl, but Charlie tells herself that at least she’s putting her acting and dancing skills to good use. And though her fellow dancers seem eager to nab their sexy, sophisticated, and genuinely caring boss, she’s not interested. After all, Charlie Rourke doesn’t really exist—and the girl pretending to be her can’t get distracted by romance.
Unfortunately, Charlie soon discovers that developing feelings for Cain is inevitable, and that those feelings may not be unrequited—but losing him when he finds out what she’s involved with will be more painful than any other sentence awaiting her.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5While I enjoyed the story , the narration was almost unbearable. I love all books narrated by Sebastian York however the female narrator really got under my skin. I love K.A. Tucker but will have to pay attention to the narrators before selecting to listen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Penny? I got lost, and without giving away any spoilers, I guess I will never know. ☹️ i really enjoyed this book and i always love the narrators.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Definitely in love with these series!
I mean it was hard to go pass all the bad stuff that happened to Charlie.... made me super angry to see how she was treated but was a great read.
Cain gain my heart like every single one of the characters of these series. I love this family/friends very much so, until the point it is hard to let them go. I'm sure I'll come back to them more than once!!!
Thank you A.K Tucker - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it, a nice turn of events, and a good plot!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Four Seconds To Lose was the third book in the series and it seemed to me, the hardest to read. I got stuck with it for a month... It just didn't connect with me.
And this is not a good thing, considering that the first 2 books in the series were so good and made me devour their pages.
Anyway, about this book: Charlie and Cain had a rough start and a complicated story (both of them). But sometimes a complicated past is the remedy to a broken heart. In this case, it was.
Sam... I have no words for this man. But I have a description. You know that bad guy in the movies that always calls, but you can never see his face? Sam was just like this. The mean, invisible character.
However, the writing style gave a bonus to this book. Except for the last part with Sam. I needed more information about the cartel and Sam in the ending. I guess 4 stars are enough. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So ridiculously good!! Start from the beginning and just dive in!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a good read, I think the main thing that was like a bit much was that she was 18.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really in-depth but on the edge of my seat
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was one of the best books I’ve ever read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved Kane's story, his character and the way the characters grew in this book. Would have loved a story for Nate.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Throughly enjoyed this story, love drama mystery. Couldn’t put it down
