Different from the others in this series, but still enjoyable.

I found this book in my ship library and at the time I didn't know it was part of a series. In truth I couldn't even tell is was part of a series even after reading it.

Google cleared that mess up for me.

But despite that, it was pretty much a stand-alone for me.

It was interesting and at times a little weird. I wasn't left wanting more, and I've never sought out the other books.

The romance was a little, how would you say it, forced and at times, to me, felt a little wrong. And in saying that, I felt that the whole thing moved a little too fast, or better yet, it had a bit of a disconnect.

But in all I did enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to others that want a mystery inside of a mystery.

    Happy Reading

It's not that long since I read this but a lot of the story is a bit of a blur. I think I really should re-read it to get a better idea of what it's all about.

Not knowing this was part of a series (last in the series), I read this as a stand-alone. I'm not sure how much of a back story I may have missed, but this book was so detailed, it would be minimal. It grabs you right away, setting in motion a back and forth that was quite suspenseful. My complaint is that this is a very long book, mostly because some of the scene set-ups are way too long and descriptive. It drags. I found myself skipping a page here, 2 pages there (thinking 'blah blah'), so I could get back to the story. Overall a great plot.
