About this audiobook

Lady Sophia Sydney would do anything to ensnare the unattainable Sir Ross Cannon. Her goal - to ruin his reputation and cause a scandal that would be the talk of all London. So she insinuates herself into his life by gaining his trust and living in his house.

Every morning, her lush presence tempts him beyond all reason...the way she bends over the table to serve him the meals she has prepared...the way her hands oh, so gently - yet sensuously - brush against him. Every night, she promises with her eyes - and her body - that the hours before dawn could be spent in unbridled passion instead of restless sleep - if only he'd let her share his bed.

She knows he is falling more in love with her each day. But she never counted on falling in love with him. And she never dreamed he might very respectably ask for her hand in marriage...

This story grabbed me from the beginning. It’s nice to read stories about men and women that are a little older (and more experienced) than the 21-22 year olds that are the usually heroins in these novels. Ross is such a wonderful hero. It’s nice to see a hero with characteristics of forgiveness and understanding and long-suffering! I have read many Lisa Kleypas books (Wallflowers series, Hathaways series, and Ravenels series) and decided to go backwards to read her earlier works. I was pleasantly surprised by “Lady Sophia’s Lover”. I thought this book was different than her others. I love her other books, but this one just seems to kick it up a knotch!

Literally the sexiest of all Lisa Kleypas books, so impressed with the creativity of using the chamber horse

This was actually really cute . . . The thing about regency romances that I love so much is that despite all of the common marriages of convenience back then these regency romances tend to have couples that can't seem to keep their hands off each other and are madly in love.

It's encouraging even if it's fiction. In the meantime, this book is good and Lisa Kleypas never disappoints.

Sophia has too much power over that poor man. It’s still a decent story.

This is a lovely story as the characters are both well developed and loveable in their own right. Also includes some wonderful historical background And highly enjoyable secondary characters-highly recommended!
