      This is a great interesting storyline that captivates your attention.

      JAK provides another solid story for those who like some paranormal elements with their romantic suspense. However, this is not one of her standout stories where things sizzle along. It's more like a comfortable blanket that you know you can rely on to give you a bit of a "happy read buzz", providing you liked Copper Beach. While this story is linked to Copper Beach via character relationships, if you're a new reader of JAK, you do not have to read Copper Beach to understand what's going on in Dream Eyes. If you are a new reader of JAK, though, I'd recommend starting elsewhere.

      This book was very similar to the first in the series. Judson and Gwen are involved in the paranormal murder case. It was ok.

      Well. This book is almost a copy of the first in the series "Copper Beach" and I do like this one better than the first, maybe the characters? I love that there is an animal in each book so far, and in this one a cat and I want to know what kind of critter will be in book number 3...(hehehe) the plot line? I like it better than the first book. I like Judson better than Sam. I think the author has got a formula that she likes, 1/4 of the way in there is sex, then 1/2 way and then 3/4 of the way in more sex... and not to much or to graphic, I hate gratuitous sex! This was a good quick and fun read. I have read a book by Amanda Quick before, not knowing it was Jane and it would not matter as I enjoyed it as well. I know what I like to read, When you want escapism... she is the author for you. this is a "just barely" ... 4 stars

      Pretty OK book. The same script as most of the other Krentz books but this one seemed a little better. I liked the heroine and the hero. As always, the motives of the villains are explained at the end of the book before they are caught or killed. This latter characteristic Krentz's romantic suspense novels is somewhat annoying and probably makes me wondering why some editor doesn't talk to her about this.

      Gwen sees ghosts in mirrors and can fix bad dreams. Judson has bad dreams but doesn't want any help. When a killer strikes they are forced to work together to find him or her and neutralize the threat.As usual I love any of the books by Krentz, under any of her various names. I even like the paranormal stuff in her books. They are always interesting, always fast paced and always fun to read.

      Gwen, a dream reader talent, and Judson who is a psychic investigator make a good team in this novel where they try to solve a series of murders in a small town. After Gwen took part in an experiment targeting people with psychic talent, other participants start dying. Two years later Gwen receives a cryptic message and returns to town to find her friend Evelyn who ran the experiment dead. Now, with a psychic killer on the loose and Gwen looking a lot like a suspect, she enlists help from the Copperfields to track down the killer. The story is enjoyable and fun, but not overly memorable. A good summer read.

      I am on record as loving Krentz -- she is one of my favorite brands of reading junkfood. This was not my favorite of her books though. I wanted to know more about the characters, especially our hero. A fun read, but there are better.

      Not normally being a "paranormal reader, I was reluctant to pick up this book and read it, but since I had received it from the LT ER program, my obligation took control and I put it on the reading for May. I was extremely pleasantly surprised and well entertained my this book which told the story of two characters that both have special psychic abilities and the journey to find the murderer of a friend when there was only psychic evidence. Glad I read it.

      Gwen Frazier is a psychic counsellor, she can look into dreams and see the underlying issues. She is regarded as somewhat eccentric and she returns to a small town in the Oregon mountains to wind up the estate of her friend who suddenly died.When she arrives, she's convinced that this isn't just sudden death, things aren't adding up, but no-one believes her and she turns to her friend who is marrying into the Coppersmith family. They send Judson to help her, Judson is haunted by nightmares but can he afford to let her in? He's attracted to her but the investigation is creating more questions about her than about a lot of other things.It's not earth-shattering prose but it was entertaining and kept me reading. The two characters do spark well and the relationship was satisfying, the denoument of the mystery not so much,. it didn't feel complete.

      I wish I could like this. JAK used to be one of my absolute favorite authors, someone I would automatically buy in hardcover, but lately I haven't found her writing as compelling. In this case, I feel as if I am being hit over the head with a blunt object. Every sentence is a statement--He feels this, he feels that, he gets caught in her dream eyes. There's no subtlety, not emotional impact, no delicious tension. I DNF'd this book, but I didn't give it a total loss because despite the fact that the writing is clunky, it's correct, and there's an actual plot.

      The follow-up to Copper Beach sends security consultant Jackson Coppersmith down the coast of the aid of Gwen Frazier. Gwen's a dream therapist with a secret - she sees ghosts. And in the tiny town of Wilby, Oregon, there are plenty of ghosts and more in the making. Gwen was once part of a paranormal experiment there. It ended badly, with two murders and one suicide. A message from Gwen's friend Evelyn brings her back, but too late for Evelyn... now Gwen and Jack have no choice but to try to find the killer, because it appears Gwen is next on his list.Krentz stuck with her familiar formula here and there are more than a few elements that should resonate with long-time readers. Creepy cave scene, spunky heroine, protective alpha male, half-mad killer, large fluffy cat... still, if you're a fan, you're probably going to like this one as well. Just don't expect anything much beyond the tried and true.

      DREAM EYES was an another entertaining paranormal romantic suspense novel by Jayne Ann Krentz. This book stars a number of the same characters as COPPER BEACH but this time Gwen and Judson are the focus. The story begins when Gwen arrives in Wilby, Oregon and discovers that her mentor Evelyn Ballinger has been killed by some sort of psychic weapon. Gwen knows this because she sees ghosts and Evelyn's is there to give her some hints. Gwen is also a psychic who can lucid dream and who can help others who are plagued with nightmares. Judson would be a perfect candidate because of the nightmares that have haunted him since a case went wrong. However, Judson doesn't want to become a patient of Gwen's. He wants to be her lover. Gwen calls in Judson because he and his brother have a psychic detective agency - sort of. They had been consulting for one of the super-secret US intelligence agencies until things went very wrong resulting in the head of the agency's death and Judson's near death. One of Judson's main psychic talents is as a hunter. He is very good at gathering evidence and putting together bits of information. Gwen and Judson quickly find out that the case isn't nearly as simple as they could wish. There are mysterious psychic weapons, dead serial killers and their still distraught girlfriends, contract killers, and a variety of others. The plot was complex and it reminded me a little of one of those old detective stories where everyone is guilty. I liked the relationship between Gwen and Judson. They each have strengths that make them a good fit for each other. I liked the family relationships in the book too. The Coppersmith family has an interesting dynamic and a strong love. Gwen, Abby, and Nick have formed a family too. They have been together loving and supporting each other since they were all sent to the same private school for psychics. They are a family by choice not birth. Fans of romantic suspense who like quite a bit of paranormal activity will enjoy this romance.

      Originally published on my blog, My Urban FantasiesDream Eyes is the second book in the Dark Legacy series. The way Krentz has set up this series, Dream Eyes can be read as a stand-alone book. The first book, Copper Beach, is Sam and Abby's story. Dream Eyes is Gwen and Judson's story. Characters from Copper Beach are in Dream Eyes, but only in a minor capacity. I would definitely read Copper Beach first if you want a little more history on the Coppersmith family, Abby and Nick. Knowing their history is not necessarily important, but may make it a little less confusing when they are introduced. Copper Beach will also explain more about the Phoenix stones, again they are not that important in this storyline. Gwendolyn Frazier, Abby's friend and soul sister, receives an email from her mentor Evelyn Ballinger. When Gwen can not reach Evelyn by phone, she goes to Evelyn's house in small town Wilby, Oregon. Gwen finds her dear friend Evelyn dead in Evelyn's office. To the untrained eye it appears that Evelyn has died of natural causes. Gwen thinks that Evelyn was killed by paranormal means. She also believes that Evelyn's murder is connected to the two murders that happened in Wilby two years ago. Gwen needs a second opinion on Evelyn's death and, if she's correct, someone to help her find out why Evelyn had been murdered. Gwen needs a psychic investigator, which leads directly to the Coppersmith family.Judson Coppersmith, Sam's brother, is a psychic investigator, half of Coppersmith Consulting. Judson is on the Oregon coast recovering from the aftermath of his last assignment. Judson made it out of the incident alive, but his mind is stuck in a dark place. Judson receives a phone call from Sam asking him to help Gwen. Judson decides that Gwen may be the perfect distraction, a way to escape his recurring nightmares. My favorite character would have to be Nick Sawyer. Nick plays a small but important part in Dream Eyes. I don't know exactly what it is about him that draws you in. He's funny, loyal and has this mysterious quality that insists you learn more about him. Dream Eyes is the perfect combination of mystery and romance with a little paranormal thrown in just for fun. It really was a fantastic read.

      I really like this book. Gwen is a psychic counselor who interpreted dreams for clients and on the side writing scripts for a low-budget cable television series. She could see ghost.

      Dream Eyes – Jayne Ann KrentzI’ve never read anything by this pen name from this author. I have read her Amanda Quick Victorian book and enjoyed them very much. Reading this was a different experience and not always a pleasant one.Evelyn has come back to the town of Wilby to see a close friend and being in this town just brings back so many horrid memories of death and murder. Gwen is a psychic counselor someone who can heal you while in your dreams with you, she experiences lucid dreaming etcetera.Judson Coppersmith has come to Wilby to help Gwen and of course, it is fortuitous since he is having extreme nightmares from almost being murdered. He could use Gwen’s’ help but will not admit it or accept the help – at first!Of course Gwen and Judson are quit attracted to each other and do eventually act on that attraction. And we I have experienced with her books written under the Amanda Quick name, you are never sure if something permanent will come out of this or is it just a couple of nights stand! This was an interesting book, but it was very easy to divert my attention from it since there was so much discussion of the psychic aspects and a lot less action that would have kept my attention. There was so much dialogue at the end with the “bad guy” explaining himself that you just could not see this as ‘real’ or acceptable.I will try something else by this author since the book wasn’t horrible and hope that her earlier works are a little more acceptable

      Reading a Jayne Ann Krentz book is like coming home. Once you start reading you get into a comfortable and easy flow with the plot and characters. Mix in the perfect amounts of mystery, romance and paranormal, wellthe next thing you know you have completed another wonderful adventure and are impatiently waiting for the next book to come out. Dream Eyes is about Gwen Frazier who returns to Wilby, OR to deal with the death of her friend and mentor. Two years ago Gwen was unfortunate to find two bodies and to be present when another man committed suicide. Gwen is so convinced that none of these deaths were natural that she hires Judson Coppersmith to investigate. Judson is still dealing with the aftermath of his last case. He is happy to help Gwen and hopes he can show her that they can have more than just a working relationship. Jayne Ann Krentz is my go to author whenever I am looking for a book to get out of a reading slump or if I just need a short escape. All of her books are enjoyable and Dream Eyes is no different. This is a book I am so happy I have on my shelf.

      A psychic counselor specializing in dreams and a psychic detective work to solve a series of deaths-by-psychic-means while falling in love. A nicely twisty sequel to Copper Beach. (And I can already guess who the third sibling's mate is going to be.) This series didn't look like it was related to Krentz's Arcane Society novels, but a connection is belatedly uncovered.

      I love Jayne Anne Krentz, This book (like her others) hooked me from the beginning and I only put it down once. The characters seem very real, despite their paranormal abilities. They only part that sometimes bothers me is how quickly the characters fall in love, but the are so likable it doesn't bother me as much as in other books. Her plots are so fast paced they keep my attention and inter stet, there is no time to get bored. Can't wait for the next, I love the connections, to her other books as well!

      I've been a longtime reader of JAK's work and am both familiar and comfortable with her writing tendencies -- the "sleek" heroine, the hero in half-boots, the repeated descriptions of things being amber or gray, how she's so skilled at portraying dynamic characters who interact in (usually) delightful ways, how she's not so skilled at the mystery element (though saying that, I'm not a fan of the cozy mystery genre). In that sense, this book hits every note I expected. It doesn't really go beyond that, though.

      I got an ARC of this book on Friday and had finished the book before going to bed late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. It was a great book, and great expansion of this series. This book is the sequel to Copper Beach, and focuses on Gwen and Judson, who we met in the first book. Gwen reads auras and can interpret dreams...she can also see ghosts. Judson is a hunter-talent with a knack for finding the bad guys. When a friend of Gwen's is killed, she calls in Judson to help find the truth. Judson is recovering from a near-death experience and is looking for a challenge. The dream-eyed Gwen may be just what he needs to get back to normal. While searching for clues in a small town full of eccentrics, the sparks between them start to burn.Like I said earlier, I really enjoyed getting into this book. As always, the writing is great--I love Jayne Ann Krentz, in all her iterations. The writing is smart and funny, and I enjoyed that this family (and the women marrying into it) have been on their own, figuring out the paranormal. Arcane does get introduced to them in this book (and I kind of figured it would) but it is more of a curiosity to the Coppersmiths than a revelation. I like that they are their own institution. In this book we also get more of the relationship between Gwen, Abby (from Copper Beach), and Nick. The author does make it very clear in this book that they are each others' real family and that they will do anything for each other. We also get more into Nick, who is a rather interesting character that I hope we see more of. All in all, a very good book that I will be sure to keep on my shelf.
