11/10- I decided to do a re-read after finishing some of LH's older books last month. I love how Howard can pack so much emotion into such a short story. Excellent collection. As I said before, Whiteout is my favorite of the 3, but the other two are just as well written.

2/09- I heart LH. This collection of shorts is wonderful, with Whiteout being my favorite.

Okay, I love Linda Howard but lately she's been hit or miss for me. However this anthology, with 3 short stories, has one of my all time favorite pieces of hers - Lake of Dreams. It's sensual, seductive and just wonderful. The other pieces are good, Blue Moon has a sheriff falling in love with a psychic and White Out has the most preposterous meeting b/n hero and heroine I've ever seen, and yet, within the constraints of the genre, it works and I enjoy it. So these are short stories by a master. If only others could write as well... A definite keeper and a frequent reread.
