Supported by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in London, the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is now in its 14th year. The prestigious competition specialises in garden, plant and flower photography. For our special ‘home’ themed issue, we took a look at those from the winners and the shortlist that could potentially be achieved in your own domestic garden or inside your home.

There are several categories to explore from the competition, including ‘The Beauty of Plants’, ‘Beautiful Gardens’ and ‘Abstract Views’. The overall winner receives a £5,000 prize along with the title ‘International Garden Photographer of the Year’.

As well as the main categories, there is also a Portfolio section, which is judged and awarded
