• 40cm ( 1/2yd) navy stripe print fabric (binding)

• 2.6m (2 3/4yd) backing fabric

• Batting at least 132cm (52in) square

• Appliqué needle

• Small appliqué pins

• Cotton appliqué thread in matching colours

• Perle 8 threads in matching colours

• Template plastic

• Fine-point permanent-marking pen

• Scissors with fine sharp point

• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot
