SHOT SHOW New Product Premiere
It’s an event that holds all the excitement and anticipation of the opening weekend of deer or turkey season. The annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, produced by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, brings together thousands of firearms, ammunition, optics, apparel and outdoor gear companies to introduce the year’s new products. It’s the world’s largest show of its kind, attracting attendees from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
While the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the in-person SHOT Show, typically held in Las Vegas, Nev., this year, manufacturers still had new products to introduce. Through a months-long series of virtual meetings and interviews with product managers and marketing staff—many of which aired on Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and Sportsman Channel Canada in January and are now available at MyOutdoorTV.com—editors from Game & Fish and other Outdoor Sportsman Group brands learned what to look for in the coming year. The following report gleans the highlights from these discussions to present some of the most noteworthy new guns and gear for hunters.
