Countdown to Spring

From 1-21 March, spring will most definitely be in the air as Radio 3 celebrates all things vernal. Eachwill be showcasing a variety of musical ‘springs’ as imagined by Vivaldi, Roxanna Panufnik, Gian Malipiero and more. And its Friday Poem slot will be extended to three days a week, featuring spring-related readings. Turning to , Martin Handley will welcome spring from his home in rural East Sussex with music to celebrate flora and fauna and a special ‘Sounds of the Earth’ mixing noises of the natural world with spring-inspired works.
