With so many events cancelled inwas a racing dream for the 29 participants on the 229km course. After a 5km estuary swim, athletes faced a 174km bike along the coast and mountains, with the final 50km off-road run along the Prince Alfred’s Pass. November’s race saw 26 finishers, with Manfred Wiehahn and Magda Nieuwoudt victorious over the 3,800m of elevation gain. Turn to p92 for a first-person account of the Knysna experience.
