Ah, springtime… Designed to enchant every sense, it’s an opportunity for ‘spring-spotting’, my seasonal take on the mindfulness practice of ‘letting in the good’. Neuroscientific studies show that memory has a negative bias, which means that we remember more bad things that have happened to us than good. This leads to a pessimistic view of the world, looking out for threats, missing out on the positives and causing unnecessary suffering.

So, let’s embrace the magic of spring and use it to open up our senses and allow the positive to balance out our negative bias.
