How to configure an AIS Class B

Q I’m installing a Raymarine Class B AIS transceiver to my Carter 30 yacht, and finding it a mystery. A lot of the literature refers obliquely to the need to download ‘proAIS2’ but the Raymarine website has no direct guidance.

ANDY HAINES The software comes on a CD in the box, so you don’t actually need to download it. I’m assuming you have an AIS700, but even if it is a different model the facts are the same, just the page number on the manual may be different.
