tik has recently introduced a range of three ACIS cameras - the name standing for Advanced CMOS Imaging Systems. The cameras are designed to provide a variety of high-quality scientific imaging applications, which for our purposes makes them highly suitable for astrophotography. The model we are reviewing is the monochrome version of the Atik ACIS 7.1 CMOS, a 7.1 megapixel camera.
