the years there’s been a tremendous change in optics for rimfire scopes. Beginning in the early 1950s, rimfire shooters began to see the development of scopes better proportioned for rimfire rifles. American optical makers like Mossberg, Weaver, Bushnell and Redfield started producing perfectly acceptable rimfire scopes, with trim, slim lines scaled to match the average .22 sporter.
