John Evetts

Back in the early 1970s, photographer John Evetts was busy taking pictures of nuclear power stations for the electricity board until, one morning, he happened to read an article in The Sunday Times Magazine about The Landmark Trust.

He was interested to read about the charity’s work sensitively renovating historic buildings and letting them out to holiday guests, but equally fascinated by an advert on the next page, which showed jaguar cats and Jaguar cars in front of a ‘beguiling’ Landmark-restored castle.
