    To fit an average man’s foot: Length of foot from toe to back of heel 28.5cm/11¼in. Ankle/leg circumference 23.5cm/9¼in. Length from top of sock to base of heel 29cm/11½in.

    MATERIALS

    For the set: 4 x 50g (200m) balls of Sirdar Country Classic 4 Ply (40% nylon, 30% wool, 30% acrylic) in each of Lime Green (Chartreuse 966) and Navy (952) and 3 balls in Red (True Red 971)*; pair of 2.75mm (No. 12) knitting needles; stitch holder. Yarn is available from theknittingnetwork.co.uk.
