■ Lining fabric, approx. 2m (78 7/8") (Fabric G)
■ Wadding, approx. 1½m (59 1/8"), 228cm (90") wide
■ Bias binding, approx. 3m (118 1/8")
■ Matching sewing thread

This statement jacket, we hear you cry? Yup indeedy. It might not be a sew-in-an-evening make, but you can base the super-simple garment shape on a jacket you already own, and piecing together the patchwork is a lovely way to pass long evenings.
The fabric quantities given in the materials list are all approximates, as the final sizes needed will depend on your measurements. Quilting fabric is generally 110cm (44") wide, and if you need to add more Flying Geese quilt blocks to the front, back or sleeves, one 23.5cm (9¼") square
