While 2020 may go down in the record books for mostly the wrong reasons, the 2020 K-Way SkyRun will be remembered for being a pearl of a day. The perfect running conditions allowed multiple records to fall, and the women showed again just how strong they are at ultra distances!
For the first time in the 24-year history of the race, a foreigner won the 100km race overall. Spaniard Pere Aurell Bove took top honours in 13h56min. In second was 2019 K-Way SkyRun champion and local favourite Lucky Miya in 13h59min. Pere’s partner and 2018 World Skyrunning champion Ragna Debats (Netherlands) placed third and set a new women’s course record of 14h21min.

“I had a lot of fun up until 60km, then I really struggled with my breathing and had to sit down a few times. But at least I got to admire the incredible landscape,” said winner Pere Aurell Bove. “At 80km I was about to abandon the race, but managed to pull myself together and got to win this amazing race!”
