BUILDING SOIL, NOT LANDFILLS
Since its grassroots beginnings in 2015, Kaicycle’s goals have been to divert local food scraps to build soil, not landfills, and grow fresh, nutrient-dense food. Kaicycle also aims to serve the community by improving awareness of soil health, regenerative composting and growing practices, and reducing food waste.
Fast-forward five years, and the Kaicycle team have turned this vision into a reality. Their small urban farm in Newtown has become a busy community hub where locals can reconnect with the land and gain useful skills by getting their hands in the soil, alongside the team in their vege growing and composting work.
