COFFEE FILTER BUTTERFLIES

“Yes, it’s Saturday!” eight-year-old Alexa Brown exclaimed, pumping her fists into the air. “No homeschool, no early bedtime and TV all day!” Alexa’s ten-year-old sister, Allie, folded her arms. “You can’t spend the whole day on the TV. Mom won’t let you.” It was a sunny day in quarantine in the middle of May. Everyone was still stuck inside, which definitely wasn’t fun on beautiful days like today. Alexa ignored her sister and turned on the TV. “They’re showing some Disney movies after lunch. Interesting!” yelled Alexa.

As Alexa was channel-surfing, Allie turned on her Chromebook and logged on to Pinterest. She was feeling very crafty all of a sudden, and Allie thought that quarantine was a good time to try something new.
