WHAT IS THIS CRANKY MANIC CHOOK CREATURE?

A hen that is broody (clucky) will display a variety of behaviours. This includes: not leaving the nest, bad temperedness, not roosting at night, sitting staying in the nesting box, pecking you and even flying at you when you try to remove eggs, and ceasing to lay eggs. When she does leave the nest, she will have all her feathers fluffed up and wings out. And be very ill tempered of anything or anyone who goes near her.
