Africa’s Wild Dogs – A Survival Story

Wild dogs are curious, intelligent creatures: They like to tease other animals and play games. But they are also efficient hunters, a skill that is not appreciated by livestock farmers. Wild dogs were declared an endangered species in 2016 and there are fewer than 6 600 of them left in the wild. They face many challenges: They’re killed when they prey on livestock, they get caught in poachers’ snares, and their shrinking habitat is becoming ever-more fragmented.
