ravel diaries are filled with happy memories, experiences and visuals that leave a lasting impression on our minds. I like to believe these visuals get added to our subconscious database to be retrieved at a later point and time .On my last trip to Germany I had the privilege of visiting the new addition to the German Historical Museum in Berlin designed by architect I M Pei. A relatively small building, the structure is pure poetry in stone, glass and metal. While the building is more renowned for its all glass spiral staircase overlooking the plaza, I was particularly fascinated by a railing detail that I chanced upon.
