It’s been a challenging year for authors, hasn’t it?
Most novelists and short story writers would probably agree that in what now seems like the distant past they were delighted whenever they could snatch a few solitary hours in the company of their own imaginations. But, this year, many of us have had to deal with involuntary isolation, too. Or we might have had far too much company, locked down among people with whom we would never have chosen to spend every waking hour for months on end.
