We’ve been planning a ride in this part of the Cotswolds for a while now, but a very wet autumn and winter curtailed our plans, because the area’s heavy clay soil makes for notorious clag. Spring came and went with travel restrictions in place, so it wasn’t until summer that it became an option again. Russell and I had hoped to meet up with the staff from Gloucester’s Slam69 bike shop for our ride, but in the end we decide to play it safe, avoid unnecessary social contact and go it alone. Laura and Liam from the shop kindly still provide us with a recommended loop, though.
