Just 22 years old he may have been, but at theand a significant number of symphonies, he had also completed all five of his violin concertos plus several piano concertos, including his ‘Jeunehomme’ Concerto, K271. A steady income, however, was proving hard to come by and a fraught year was blighted further by the death of his mother, Anna Maria, as she accompanied him on a visit to Paris.
