    Grave headstone reveals history of a proud rural stationmaster

    IT IS A 104-year-old headstone that at first glance appears no different to the many others in the quiet cemetery of Hovingham, a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. More detailed inspection reveals, however, an unusual engraving, that the person buried there, Francis Johnson, died at Scruton station.
