Cane Syrup

Orange Sticky Buns

MAKES 9 (photo on page 79)

Bring some serious indulgence to the table with these sticky-sweet treats.

¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup plus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened and divided
1 tablespoon orange zest
¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
⅓ cup cane syrup
3 tablespoons orange liqueur* or orange juice
1½ cups pecan halves
2 (16.3-ounce) cans refrigerated biscuits*

1. Preheat oven to 350˚. Spray an 8½-inch square baking pan with baking spray with flour.

2. In the work bowl of a food processor, combine granulated sugar, ¼ cup butter, and zest. Blend until mixture is fluffy and light orange.
