The topic of war is vast. There have been thousands of wars in the course of human history and they all have numerous lenses through which they could be researched, such as their military, political, diplomatic, social, psychological and economic aspects. Personal experiences of war and the consequences of human conflict can also be of interest to both fiction and nonfiction writers.

There’s a huge amount of material available for research. Public and research libraries contain a wealth of war-related books, journals and other resources. TV documentaries and). If you do an online search, you’re bound to get an unmanageable number of results. Hence, before you start your research, narrow your focus and use as specific search terms as possible.
