So, are you guys going to leave Europe?’ I was booking into a campsite near Holm in Norway, travelling north up the coastal road and heading for the Vennesund ferry the following morning. “That’s a good question,” I shrugged.
I was heading for the Lofoten Islands near Narvik, having heard that the scenery was spectacular and that it was a great place to see white-tailed eagles. I was taking my time, avoiding main roads where possible and taking the Kystriksveien, the coastal route from Trondheim north to Bodo. This meant continuously navigating across fjords, islands and mountains, but as this was Norway, my journey was seamless, and breathtakingly beautiful.
