LOU BROCK, THE BASE BURGLAR, DIES AT AGE 81

Lou Brock, a legendary outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals and the all-time leader in stolen bases in the National League, died in a hospital on Sept 6. He was 81.

Brock will be remembered most for his base stealing ability, his 938 stolen bases second only to Rickey Henderson’s 1,406 in MLB history, and with that and other talents he was a catalyst for the Cards, helping them win the World Series in 1964 and 1967.
