Land of the giants

My husband has been home more than usual. This is not an unusual scenario in this unprecedented time of unprecedented viral infection and unprecedented lockdowns forcing unprecedented thought bubbles of: “Why did I marry this person?” and “Do I actually like any of my children?”

This time at home has thrown up some big life questions. For example: “When I’m in, they surround me on the couch, block my view, and ask stupid questions about their social media phone allowance right at the time when the detective in the British crime show is setting up the narrative exposition.”
