Did you know that one-third of all food produced in Australia is thrown out? In fact, it’s been estimated that, on average, every Aussie throws away around 300kg of food every year - that adds up to around $3800 in groceries per household. And if all that’s not frightening enough, it’s also been predicted that food waste is responsible for more than five per cent of Australia’s global greenhouse emissions.
