Getting to know you

What an interesting question, Irene, and one I applaud you for. Knowing, and facing, where your writing is lacking, is most of the battle. I’ve come across plenty of writers who’ve been given the same feedback for years, and just bat it away, continuing in their own sweet way and then complaining because they’ve never been published. You, on the other hand, are accepting this constructive criticism, and are very aware of what is going on here. So, I would say, you are already halfway to resolving the issue.

And you are right to see it as a serious one.
