A real collector’s item, the chocolate-brown leaves have sharp tips, and the colour deepens to burgundy towards the centre. It grows in full sun or partial shade and needs soil that drains well, especially if planted in a bed that is regularly watered. Use as an edging or groundcover, between stones or pavers, in gravel gardens and as a striking container plant. As indoor plants they need bright, indirect light and minimal watering.
