Preparing for Spring

’ve been writing articles about bonsai for more than 25 years, and every year at about this time I write about the very same thing: preparing for spring. And yet, for the last 25 years I have been caught off guard myself. That is because when spring arrives in South Africa it arrives in a hurry, and you suddenly find there are too many things to do all at once. Very often something that is set aside for next year takes another ten years to get to!
