INTRODUCING STUFFED QUILTING – TROUBLESHOOTING

Help! I would like to try stuffed quilting, but I don’t have the time for the complex pieces I’ve seen at shows. Is there an easy way to try?

Sure! In quilting, there’s always ais just an easy nine-patch arrangement, but the trapunto stars add extra interest. You could do a similar thing with the quadruple heart design, combining it with another patchwork block, as shown in . Making single trapunto blocks is easier than designing and sewing a large, complex design. For example, the stylised flower block shown in could be repeated in a row to make a pretty table runner. Instead of having the same block in the same orientation, try reversing it in part of the design and also rotating blocks to create more interest and movement.
