The variety and patterns of parrotfish range from bright green with lavender, turquoise blue with light pink, reddish brown, to black. The most commonly caught in our waters are the reddish-brown and the blue averaging two to five pounds.
Caught year-round, the uhu are coral grazers (they actually bite off bits of coral as they go along) and as such are more easily speared than caught on hook and line. They’re especially easy targets
