EMILIA-ROMAGNA, THE land of fast cars and slow food; a region so rich in food heritage that without some of its culinary gifts, Italy simply would not be the same. The likes of ragu alla bolognese , tortellini, Parmigiano-Reggiano, prosciutto di Parma originated here, to name just a few. This is the region where chef Massimo Bottura and partner Lara Gilmore have chosen to open their 12-room country house Casa Maria Luigia.
