August can be a disappointing time in gardens – borders can be a little frazzled and faded. All too easily, it becomes an underwhelming lull between the high drama and flowering bounty of July, and the onset of early autumn’s mellowing. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Here at Glebe Cottage we want the summer cavalcade to strut its colourful stuff through our borders as boldly and brightly as can be, for as long as possible.
