Bavaria C45

Truth be told, I borrowed the “fun meets safety” line directly from the Bavaria Yachts marketing team, but in my defense, they kind of nailed it with this short description. Although it may sound like generic promotional hyperbole, much thought went into the design of the new C45 to make it an agile speedster with an eye toward safety for sailing families with kids and even pets.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

The C45 debuted at the Miami boat show alongside the new Bavaria flagship, the C57. Both boats come from the drawing board of Mauricio Cossutti of ORC racing fame. For the C Series, the German builder moved away from its standard Farr designs and opted for elongated profiles and multiple outfitting choices,
