DITCH COMFORT EATING FOR GOOD

Who knew that 2020 would turn out to be such a complicated year? Navigating this ‘new world’ that we have found ourselves in post-lockdown has sparked many different emotions, from fear and anxiety to frustration and depression. According to the Office for National Statistics, a third of British adults have said that the pandemic has negatively affected their wellbeing, with almost half of people reporting high anxiety levels. In June, Nuffield Health reported that around 80 per cent of Brits working from home felt that lockdown had negatively affected their mental health. A quarter said they were struggling with isolation. Now more than ever we are seeking ways to soothe our stress – and food has universally become a popular choice to make us feel better.
