KNIFE EDGE
Looking at my phone, I smiled to myself.
Are you coming out for a drink? my friend Kane Kotwica, 30, asked.
You guys can come over later if you like? I replied.
Kane and I had known each other for years, as our families lived in the same area.
He was sometimes flirty, but I only ever saw him as a good pal.
When he and a couple of his mates came over later that evening, my neighbour Kylie popped in too.
We had a few drinks, but by 4am, I was ready to call it a night.
‘Right, I’m going to bed,’ I said.
Kylie lived in the flat next door, so she went back to hers.
