To demolish OR NOT TO DEMOLISH

looking around the CBDs in any of our cities, have you ever wondered what the streets would look like if we’d preserved our historic buildings? Instead of demolishing them in the 1960s and ’70s, perhaps we should have been a little more architecturally daring and adapted them for other uses. How different would our cities look today?

Think about this. Until the 1950s there weren’t too many changes due to World War II. With a bit of a mind stretch, try to imagine all the buildings on the main city streets were unchanged, remaining the same as they were in 1940.
