GARDENING FOR MIND AND BODY

National Growing for Wellbeing Week is an event celebrating how wonderful growing your own fruit and vegetables can be for your physical and mental health. Staying calm, confident and feeling in control can seem impossible at times, especially recently, but growing your own food certainly helps. The simple motions of sowing seeds, raking soil and pulling weeds distract my mind, build my confidence, encourage me to look to the future and remove any negativity. I know it definitely gets me moving, smiling and eating well too, that's for sure.
